1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. They can remember a session, keep you signed in, save a preference, or help protect a website from misuse. Session cookies normally expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry date or until you delete them.
Similar browser technologies, such as local storage, may perform comparable functions. In this Policy, “cookies” includes these technologies where appropriate.
2. How RelaDate uses cookies
We use cookies to operate requested features, maintain account sessions, remember selected language, support login choices, prevent abuse, and preserve settings. Information associated with these cookies may include a randomly generated identifier, login state, language choice, timestamps, device or browser information, and IP address.
We do not claim to use advertising or analytics cookies unless an analytics, advertising, or similar service is actually enabled. If those tools are introduced, this Policy and any required consent controls should be updated before they are used.
3. Cookie categories used by the Service

4. Cookies from optional third-party services
When enabled and used, social sign-in providers may place or read their own cookies to complete authentication. Spotify may do the same while a member authorizes music sharing. Payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal may also use cookies or similar technologies to process payments and prevent fraud. These providers control their own cookies under their respective policies.
Simply displaying a link to an external social website does not necessarily place that provider’s cookies. A third party may receive information when you choose to interact with or authenticate through its service.
5. Managing and deleting cookies
You can review, block, or delete cookies using your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login, language preferences, forms, messaging, uploads, payments, or other account features from working correctly.
To stop a persistent login, sign out of RelaDate and remove the relevant cookies from your browser. You can change the site language through the language selector, which replaces the saved language preference.
6. Do Not Track signals
Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal, but there is no universally accepted technical standard for responding to it. Because the Service does not currently claim behavior-based advertising on these pages, no separate advertising response is described here.
7. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when cookies, providers, legal requirements, or Service features change. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date. Where law requires consent for a new non-essential cookie, we will request it before using that cookie.
