Terms and Conditions
Effective date: July 16, 2026
By creating an account, accessing, or using RelaDate, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Agreement and scope
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and the operator of RelaDate (“RelaDate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They apply to our website, applications, profiles, matching features, messages, voice messages, gifts, notifications, and any other service we provide (collectively, the “Service”).
Additional rules shown when you use a particular feature form part of these Terms. Mandatory consumer rights under applicable law are not limited by these Terms.
2. Eligibility and account responsibilities
You may use the Service only if you:
- are at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into this agreement;
- are legally permitted to use a dating service where you live;
- provide truthful, current, and complete registration and profile information;
- have not previously been suspended or removed unless we give written permission to return; and
- use the Service personally and not on behalf of a company, agency, or another person.
You are responsible for protecting your login details and for all activity on your account. You may not share, sell, transfer, or use another person’s account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Honest profiles and appropriate use
Your profile must represent you honestly. Do not misrepresent your identity, age, location, relationship intentions, occupation, qualifications, affiliations, or photos. Do not impersonate another person, create deceptive or duplicate accounts, or use heavily misleading media.
The Service is intended for genuine personal connections. Commercial dating agencies, advertising, recruitment, political campaigning, escort services, “sugar” arrangements, financial promotion, and other unauthorized commercial activity are prohibited.
4. Community rules and prohibited conduct
You must treat other members respectfully, both on and off the Service. You may not:
- harass, threaten, stalk, bully, shame, intimidate, exploit, or abuse anyone;
- promote hatred or discriminate based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or another protected characteristic;
- post nudity, pornography, graphic violence, non-consensual intimate material, or content that sexualizes or endangers a minor;
- solicit money, gifts, loans, investments, cryptocurrency, financial credentials, passwords, or verification codes;
- commit or facilitate fraud, romance scams, money laundering, trafficking, illegal sales, spam, phishing, or identity theft;
- share another person’s private information, image, conversation, or contact details without permission;
- send unwanted sexual content, repeated unwanted messages, or content intended to alarm or humiliate;
- use website links, email addresses, usernames, or off-platform requests to evade safety controls or continue unwanted contact;
- submit knowingly false reports or misuse blocking, reporting, appeals, or verification tools;
- scrape, crawl, copy, sell, or commercially exploit member profiles or data;
- introduce malware, probe security, reverse engineer, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; or
- use bots, scripts, fake engagement, or automated account-creation or messaging tools without our written permission.
Conduct outside the Service may also result in action when it involves another member and creates a credible risk of harm, fraud, harassment, or serious misuse of the Service.
5. Dating safety and member interactions
Unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific feature, we do not conduct criminal background checks, sex-offender registry checks, or identity screenings on every member. Verification indicators may confirm only the limited check described and are not a guarantee of safety or character.
You are solely responsible for your interactions and decisions. Use good judgment, keep early conversations on the Service, do not send money or verification codes, protect financial and sensitive personal information, tell someone you trust about in-person meetings, meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation, and contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.
Phone-number sharing is permitted, but it is voluntary and at your own risk. A member must respect another person’s request to stop contacting them. Blocking a member on RelaDate may not stop contact through a phone number or external service you shared.
6. Reporting, moderation, and enforcement
Please use the in-service reporting and blocking tools when you encounter suspicious, unsafe, illegal, or prohibited behavior. We may use automated systems, safety filters, member reports, and human review to investigate accounts, messages, voice messages, profile information, and other content where permitted by law.
We may remove content; restrict features; require verification; warn, suspend, or terminate accounts; preserve relevant records; prevent repeat registrations; and cooperate with law enforcement or safety organizations when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, comply with law, or protect people and the Service. We may not disclose details of an investigation when doing so could compromise safety, privacy, fraud prevention, or legal obligations.
7. Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of content you submit, including profile text, photos, messages, and voice recordings (“Your Content”). You confirm that you own Your Content or have all permissions required to provide it and that it does not violate another person’s rights.
You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt for technical formatting, moderate, and transmit Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, except where retention is required for backups, fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or content already shared with other members.
You may not copy, republish, distribute, or exploit another member’s content without their permission.
8. Our service and intellectual property
The Service, software, design, branding, databases, and content supplied by us are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by intellectual-property laws. Subject to these Terms, we give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.
We may change, test, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We do not promise that any particular feature, match, recommendation, message, or member will always be available.
9. Paid features, subscriptions, balances, and gifts
This section applies only when paid features, subscriptions, credits, balances, or virtual gifts are enabled.
- Prices, included benefits, billing frequency, renewal terms, and taxes will be disclosed before purchase.
- If a subscription renews automatically, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel through the method explained at purchase.
- Cancellation stops future renewal but normally does not reverse the current billing period, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
- Virtual credits, balances, and gifts have no cash value, are non-transferable, and may not be sold or exchanged outside the Service.
- Refunds are governed by the terms shown at purchase, the payment provider’s rules, and mandatory consumer law.
We may correct pricing or billing errors and restrict transactions reasonably suspected of fraud, abuse, chargeback manipulation, or unauthorized use.
10. Privacy and communications
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and share personal data. By using the Service, you acknowledge those practices. We may send service messages relating to security, matches, messages, account activity, purchases, and changes to these Terms. Marketing communications may be controlled through available settings or the unsubscribe method provided.
11. Third-party services
The Service may depend on or link to third-party services, including social sign-in, hosting, maps, payment processors, or external websites. Their terms and privacy practices apply separately. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
12. Account deletion, suspension, and termination
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion through the available account tools. Uninstalling an application or leaving the website does not by itself delete your account.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access when we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, misused the Service, or when action is needed to protect members or the Service. Serious safety, fraud, exploitation, or illegal-content violations may result in immediate termination without prior notice where permitted by law.
Terms concerning ownership, retained records, disputes, disclaimers, liability, and obligations that by their nature should continue will survive termination.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free content, particular matches, successful relationships, member conduct, identity, compatibility, or that the Service will meet every expectation.
We are not responsible for the conduct of members or for events occurring during communications or meetings between members. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, opportunities, reputation, or goodwill; or damages arising from member conduct, unauthorized access, or third-party services.
Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law. This limitation does not apply to fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or other liability that law does not permit us to limit.
15. Disputes and governing principles
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us through the available support channel and give us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where the operator of RelaDate is established, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections or rights available in your country of residence.
Courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes. These Terms do not require arbitration or waive a right to participate in a class or collective action unless a separate, legally valid agreement expressly says so.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, safety practices, features, or business operations. We will post the updated Terms and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent. If you do not accept an update, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
17. General provisions
These Terms and policies expressly incorporated into them are the entire agreement concerning the Service. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our consent; we may assign ours as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.
18. Contact
For account, safety, legal, or Terms-related questions, use the support, reporting, or contact tools made available through RelaDate. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
