How can we help?

Dating on RelaDate

How discovery, likes and matches work

Use Discover to browse people who fit your available preferences. A like lets someone know you are interested. When both people like each other, it becomes a match and either person can start a conversation.

Results depend on active profiles, location and the preferences each member chooses. A smaller or more specific search may show fewer people.

Starting a conversation

Open Chat, choose a match and send a respectful introduction. A good first message mentions something from the person’s profile instead of using a generic greeting.

You can send text or a voice message. Links and email addresses are restricted to reduce scams. If you decide to share a phone number, RelaDate shows a safety reminder first.

Using voice messages

In an open conversation, select the microphone button, allow microphone access and record your message. Review the recording before sending it. Voice messages are compressed so they remain clear without using excessive mobile data.

Only record content you are comfortable sharing with the recipient. Report threatening, hateful or sexual content that violates the community rules.

Sharing music from Spotify

If Spotify sharing is enabled, open Settings → Networks and connect Spotify. You can choose one public playlist and up to five favorite songs for your profile.

RelaDate requests read-only access and does not post to Spotify. You can refresh your choices or disconnect Spotify at any time.

Your profile and account

Create a profile people can trust

Add a clear recent photo, a genuine introduction and interests that make starting a conversation easier. Keep your name, age and intentions accurate. Do not publish financial information, identity documents, a home address or a precise daily routine.

You can update profile details and photos from Settings.

Signing in and recovering access

You can sign in with your email or username and password. Enabled social providers may also appear. If the administrator enables Twilio phone sign-in, first link and verify your number under Settings → Networks, then use the SMS sign-in option.

Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen if you cannot remember your password. Never give a password or one-time code to another member.

Notifications, language and account settings

Use Settings to update notifications, appearance, connected accounts and other available preferences. The language selector changes the interface language. Availability depends on the languages enabled by the administrator.

Requesting your data or deleting your account

Open Settings → Your data to use the available data-request tools. Account deletion is available from account settings.

Deletion is permanent. Limited records may still be retained where required for security, abuse prevention, legal obligations or backups, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Safety, privacy and security

Reporting or blocking someone

If a member makes you uncomfortable, open their profile or conversation menu and use Report or Block. Include an accurate reason so moderators can review the concern.

Blocking prevents normal contact through RelaDate. It cannot stop contact through a phone number or another service you previously shared. Contact local emergency services if anyone is in immediate danger.

Recognizing scams and suspicious requests

Be cautious when someone quickly asks to leave RelaDate, requests money, promotes an investment, offers guaranteed returns, asks for gift cards or wants a password or verification code. Do not send money or financial details to a match.

RelaDate restricts links and email addresses in chat to reduce common scams. Phone-number sharing is allowed with a warning, so pause and assess the person before continuing elsewhere.

Meeting a match safely

Take time to get to know the person. For a first meeting, choose a busy public place, arrange your own transportation and tell someone you trust where you are going. Keep your phone charged and avoid leaving drinks or belongings unattended.

You can leave at any time. Trust your judgment if behavior, identity or details do not feel consistent.

Protecting your privacy and account

Use a unique password, protect access to your email and sign out on shared devices. Never share a one-time SMS code. Avoid posting a home address, workplace schedule, financial details or identity documents.

Verification badges and safety tools can reduce risk, but they do not guarantee another member’s identity, intentions or behavior.
